Event Program

Some of you have travelled a long way to be in this room and we know exactly what that took. Thank you. This is a short guide to the next few hours: what happens when, who's doing what, and a few things you'd only know if you'd been told. Keep it, or leave it on the chair — but there's a page at the back you might want.

2:00 — Guests arrive. Drinks outside if it's dry, in the hall if it isn't. 2:30 — We begin. Please find a seat; there's no reserved side, sit wherever you like. 3:15 — Photographs. This takes longer than anyone expects. There is more to drink. 5:00 — Food. 7:00 — Speeches. Three of them, all promised to be short, and one of those promises will be kept. 8:00 — Music until they make us stop.

List the people with a job today and one line about who they are — not their title, the actual thing. The friend who has known one of you since you were eleven. The aunt who taught you to cook the thing you always cook. The person who drove four hours with the flowers in the back of a van. This is the page guests read most closely, because it tells them how everyone in the room is connected.
